Time For A Hydrafacial To Say Goodbye To The Winter?

February may be a day longer this year, but the fact remains that spring is not far away, whether you accept the first day of spring as the equinox (March 20th) or the Met Office definition of March 1st.

Either way, your skin will have taken plenty of punishment over the autumn and winter months, with cold, wet and windy weather outside and very dry conditions indoors with the heating on. All this will have been accompanied by a distinct lack of sunshine.

Some may simply want to wait for the spring sunshine to follow the sprouting daffodils and get their skin looking and feeling better, but others could conclude that now is the ideal time to go for a hydrafacial and clean up the last of the winter damage, so your skin can look great sooner.

A hydrafacial revives your skin by combining two treatments, which is why the technique is sometimes known as hydradermabrasion. On the one hand, it involves exfoliation through microdermabrasion, while on the other it infuses your skin with hydrating serums.

It is done using a wand-like device that vacuums up debris, peels and exfoliates and uses a pen-like attachment to provide the serums in a non-invasive fashion.

In addition to this, it also deep cleans your skin, so all the accumulated grime and pore blockages of the last few months can be swept away. The dead skin will be gone with it and fresh, young, moist skin will emerge, looking great and ready to enjoy as you step out into the spring sunshine.

Surveys have shown most of those who undergo a hydrafacial are happy with the results, with skin not just looking and feeling cleaner, but with fewer wrinkles and less prone to acne, especially blackheads.

The warmest and sunniest weather may still be some way off, however, you define the beginning of spring. But you don’t need to wait for that to revive your skin after winter has taken its toll.
