What You Can Do To Make A Body Waxing Session Go Smoother

Whilst there are plenty of ways to remove body hair, the best one by far is still the simplest, albeit one that can be a bit intimidating for a first-timer.

Whilst other treatments such as electrolysis, shaving or depilatory cream are options, there are few that are as quick or have as long-lasting effects as waxing does, and that microsecond of shock leads to weeks of smooth skin and much easier waxing sessions the next time.

It is the anticipation and build-up of that shock that unnerves people, but here are some ways to make the entire waxing session as silky smooth as your body afterwards.

Put Down The Razor

Shaving is not the best way to take care of body hair in sensitive places regardless, but in the build-up to your first session, you want to have your hair to have grown a little bit, as this will make it far easier for the wax to take hold and avoid it being too painful afterwards.

Instead, the best way to manage your hair is to time your waxing sessions instead, as your therapist will know how to take care of any untamed hair

Exfoliating the area can be really useful, however, for avoiding ingrown hairs and making it easier for the wax to get a good grip.

Avoid A Drink

Given how much a lovely glass of fizz can make a pampering day feel more special, it is unfortunate that it can cause a waxing season to be a bit more painful if you drink too much before your wax.

This is also true for coffee and other invigorating stimulating drinks; all three make you more sensitive to pain and can affect your tolerance to it, so save your brew for after the session is over, although you are unlikely to need waking up.
